Catholic Wedding Ceremonies

If the bride and groom are both practising Catholics, they may choose a ‘Nuptial Mass’, where they will both receive Communion. Any date can be chosen although usually not the three days before Easter Sunday. Generally priests will not marry divorcees. Attitudes to choices of non-Biblical readings and music varies from parish to parish Catholic marriage is a sacrament and very serious commitment. If you do not have a religious conviction perhaps an alternative ceremony may be better.
