The Role of the Chief Bridesmaid
- Helps the bride choose her and her attendant’s outfits

- At the ceremony venue, before the bride’s entrance, checks her attire and lines up the attendants
- Holds the bouquet during the ceremony
- Attends the signing of the register (usually as a witness)
- Is walked out of the ceremony by the best man
- Takes her place in the receiving line
- Places the bride’s and her bouquet by the wedding cake
- Helps serve the cake
- Helps the bride prepare for “going away”, takes charge of the wedding attire
- Helps transport the wedding gifts from the reception to a safe place
